Join Our Assistance Network

BeWell’s Assistance Network includes certified brokers, agents, and enrollment counselors who help New Mexicans understand, shop for, and enroll in health coverage. Certification through BeWell provides access to training, platform tools, and ongoing partner resources.  

What to Expect

  • Certification is completed annually prior to Open Enrollment. 
    • PY2027 certification is July 1- August 31. 
  • Scenario based learning activities and knowledge checks are included throughout the training.

Certification Process

  1. Submit interest/request information 
  2. BeWell will verify eligibility and licensing requirements Receive training enrollment instructions 
  3. Complete required courses and assessments 
  4. Maintain annual certification requirements

Agencies and Brokers

Licensed insurance professionals who assist consumers with plan selection and enrollment support. 

Important Requirements

  • Must hold an active resident or approved bordering state license 
  • Must maintain annual certification status 
  • Must remain in good standing with licensing requirements 
  • Must pass the BeWell certification training with 80% or greater 
  • Must be appointed or contracted with the carrier to receive commissions 

Enrollment Counselor

Enrollment counselors provide unbiased enrollment assistance and education to consumers. Unlike brokers, they do not recommend or endorse specific plans and do not receive commissions.
