Easy Enrollment
New Mexico Human Services Department (HSD), beWellnm (New Mexico’s Official Health Insurance Marketplace), the New Mexico Office of the Superintendent of Insurance (OSI), and the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department (TRD), announced the launch of Easy Enrollment. This new program allows New Mexicans to check a box on their state income tax form to see if they qualify for low-cost or no-cost health care coverage through Medicaid or beWellnm.
Lower income levels at 200% or below of the FPL, can receive financial support to reduce monthly premiums and enroll today.
Good news, beWellnm is able to assist consumers that are at the lower levels of the income scale.
A new monthly special enrollment period for New Mexicans with household incomes at 200% of the federal poverty level and below who are not eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program. The chart breakdown below identifies the number within your household and, then it reflects the income from 138% – 200% or less of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Based on this breakdown individuals and families can enroll at any time this year.
Examples:
A single person making less than $2,265 a month or $27,180 a year
A family of 3 making less than $3,839 a month or $46,068 a year
The Federal Poverty Levels amounts below are valid through 2023.
