Nandini Pillai Kuehn, PhD., M.H.A.
Nandini Kuehn has accumulated over 40 years of experience in health care and is currently retired after running her own consulting business, Health Services Consulting. She began her career in hospital administration as part of the management team at the University of California Hospitals in San Francisco, followed by a position in executive administration at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose. Later, as a consultant, she coordinated and provided technical assistance to Community Health Centers in eight western states. In addition to her work in various health care settings in the US, she has also worked within the health systems of Canada and Australia, where she started her own consulting business. She returned to the US in 2003, and provided consulting services to various agencies in New Mexico. She is experienced in strategic planning, policy analysis and health reform initiatives (state and national), analysis of hospital and outpatient utilization data, and development of alternative service delivery models. A key focus has been on evaluating programs targeted to hard-to-reach populations and to assess utilization patterns of underserved populations.
