Mona Ghattas is the president of Duran Central Pharmacy in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she also serves as a pharmacist. Ghattas has been a pharmacist there for nearly 40 years. She has also served as a consultant to Little Roses Board and Care Home and First Choice Community Health Care.
She currently sits on the Board of the Albuquerque Economic Commission, the Independent Pharmacy Cooperative, and the New Mexico Pharmacist’s Association. She has also collaborated on several projects with the UNM College of Pharmacy, the Department of Health, Oasis, New Day Youth and Family Services, Recovery Tool Box, Manzano Day School, and Prosperity Works.
Mona has been very active trying to improve healthcare both nationally and on a state level. She has made several legislative trips to Washington DC and to Santa Fe on behalf of her patients, fellow pharmacists, and the State of New Mexico.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and was a 10,000 Small Businesses Graduate from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
